At Bavaria Equine & Oddities LLC, we prioritize herd life and social interactions of our beloved equines.
Horses are very social animals whose survival in the wild is completely dependent on their herd membership. As such, even domestic horses thrive best in social settings.
However, we offer individual stall spaces in our clean, well-ventilated barns. There, horses can shelter during inclement weather, lay over between travels, or recover from injuries, while still maintaining social connections over the fence.
We strongly believe that stalled horses should have plenty of room to move around, get plenty of sunlight and fresh air with the opportunity to seek out shade, and be able to observe their surroundings on the outside of the building.
Enrichment opportunities are a big part of our boarding program here at Bavaria Equine & Oddities LLC. This can be in the form of friendly equine - human interactions....
....or in the form of the whole herd taking a refreshing swim in one of our ponds....
....or free roaming 150 acres with their friends.
In the wild, horses roam for up to 16 hours a day. Allowing our domestic horses to re-create these natural condition boosts their physical and mental health, leading to a more balanced, level headed animal.
While horse owners are free to determine the amount of time their horse spends in the stall, even our 24/7 free roamers receive their own spot in one of our feeding stations. There, they can eat their customized feed without competition.
All equines are welcome at Bavaria Equine & Oddities LLC. Donkeys and mules integrate well into our herds and earn a spot in our hearts very quickly.
We are set up with 6 foot tall, mustang-duty fencing. As such, we welcome animals who have a history of escaping their enclosures. While we recommend gelding all stallions not used for responsible breeding, we are happy to safely board stallions.
Our facility is the perfect paradise for adolescent horses to grow up in a safe but natural environment. They can form friendships with other adolescents and learn their place in the herd with adult horses, while horse owners have access to our training facility to turn their youngster into a productive riding partner.
Foaling and foal care is one of our specialties at Bavaria Equine & Oddities LLC. While we love seeing foals grow up naturally with their momma's in the herd setting, we also have extensive experience bottle feeding orphaned or rejected babies.
All boarders have access to professional farrier services who make regular visits to the ranch....
....as well as state-of-the-art veterinary services, including highly skilled equine dentists and breeding professionals, who are on call 24/7 for farm calls as well as haul ins.
Rescues and owner surrender cases are always welcome at Bavaria Equine & Oddities LLC. We have 11 years of re-feeding experience following the UC Davis protocol, and we are happy to work with all professionals to ensure that neglected equines can have a second chance at life.
In summary, our main goal at Bavaria Equine & Oddities LLC is to provide our boarders with the environment to relax in good company....
....feel completely comfortable to achieve deep relaxation....
....so each individual equine can become the best version of themselves....
....in an environment that is safe and both horse- and human-friendly.
